How to achieve flawless face using foundation

These days i am not posting much,the only reasons are, i have freezing hands now a days and my daughter constantly interferes in my laptop affairs...she has grown up much and now her sleep has reduced so only time i got is night .I was thinking of writing this post since as most of us have serious complain in choosing foundation ,applying and make it long lasting.So today's post is all about foundations.Scroll down to read more!!!!
Selection of foundation
Never ever compromise on Foundation,even if you are not a regular user.This is primary thing on your face,it can easily break you out,can make your face fresh,glowy,flawless...so always invest in some good ones.
If you are a working lady and works from 9 to 5 and want a flawless face,you should use medium coverage foundation with concealer and at night times select full coverage foundation.Always go for Quality brands,foundation can change your whole skin.You can choose cheap eye shadows etc,etc but don't compromise on foundation quality.Here are some foundations recommendations for you guyz.Before buying use testers,choose the shade that matches your face skin not your arm~
Always remember less is more,take one drop of foundation and start with it,the end would not be cakey trust me.
Light to medium coverage foundations
- Color studio professional pro luminous foundation (dewy finish)
- L'Oreal true match foundation(semi matte finish)
- Maybelline dream mousse (matte finish)
- Nars sheer glow foundation (satin finish)
- Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua Foundation (satin finish)

- Bare Mineral's foundation(matte foundation)
Full coverage foundations
- Kryolan TV paint stick
- Revlon color stay(matte finish)
- Bourjois 123(matte finish)
- Cover Girl Outlast Stay Fabulous 3-in-1 Foundation
- Laura mercier silk creme foundation(satin finish)
- Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation
- MAC studio fix
- Tarte Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Full Coverage Foundation
Buffer brush/blenders
Most of us have complain about
blending of foundations,i have also faced this in past.Try a buffer
brush/blender for this,if you are not a professional then don't trust
your fingers,trust me.I am using MUA powder brush
as a buffer brush and its doing superb.You can also go for sigma but
if not interested in expensive ones than ELF powder brush is again a
great option.
Primers and Setting powders
My foundation doesnot last all the time,what to do?a common complain,well simple but effective answer apply primer before,it adds magic to foundation.If you have open pores choose one with pore minimizing properties.Use moisturizer on dry parts of skin only so no shine.
Monistat chafing gel ,are my current on go primers.
Then lastly set your foundation with setting powders,i would suggest
Kryolan loose setting powder
Ben nye setting powders (highly recommended)

ReplyDeleteI agree with every single word.However,I am seriously thinking over merits and demerits of primers.I think primers do not let the foundation absorption in skin and might caused makeup to slide off in some cases.What do you say?I am a firm believer in the power of primers ad use one a ll the time but you know the rules keep changing :P
